From Advocacy Basics and Texas Legislature 101 to Self-Care for Advocates and Advocacy for Mental Health Clinicians, I work with small and large groups to train on a range of policy, advocacy, and legislative topics and skills. Trainings can be in person (because that’s way more fun) or virtual.

Let me create a training that meets your needs!

Trainings

  • Legislative Session Summary

This training covers what mental health clinicians need to know about the 89th Legislative Session: what bills passed, how it will impact mental health care, and missed opportunities for the mental health field. CEUs (including Ethics) are provided.

I can customize legislative session summaries based on the audience and topic of interest.

  • Practical Advocacy: Telling Your Story Workshop

In this training attendees learned Texas legislative basics, how to find their unique voice through power mapping, and how to make a visual to support action on an issue at the Texas Capitol.

  • Session Self-Care

This training is a MUST for legislative staffers, advocates, and anyone working in and around the Capitol during the legislative session. I use my firsthand experience as a legislative aide, a lobbyist, and an advocate to cut through unhelpful self-care tips and talk about what really helps us stay grounded during the 140 days we need it most.
